WHAT IS THE WINTER EDITION?
As of the 19th volume, Noēsis will now be published in two separate editions: a Spring and Winter edition. This expansion will allow us to double the number of papers published and continue to support top-tier undergraduate work in philosophy.
Noēsis is currently accepting submissions for publication in the Winter Edition; the due date to submit your paper is midnight on January 21st.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the Spring Edition more important than the Winter Edition?
As with most peer-reviewed and scholarly journals, Noēsis does not place a greater weight on either the Spring or Winter editions.
Why introduce a second edition to Noēsis ?
In the past years, we have received an increasing number of high quality philosophy papers, and our Spring Edition simply does not contain the space to publish them. By introducing the Winter Edition, we are able to publish close to double the number of papers in each volume of Noēsis .
Will the Winter Edition be published in print or online only?
Although we plan on publishing the Winter Edition in print, we are still pending additionally funding. Regardless of this, the Winter Edition will be made available digitally.
Can I submit to both editions?
Yes, however, you will only be published in one of these editions.
What are the requirements to submit to the Winter Edition?
The submission requirements are the same for the Winter Edition as the Spring Edition. All paper submissions must
1. Have received an A-range grade, although it is strongly recommended that even such papers be revised and expanded prior to submission. Proof your paper receiving this grade is not required.
2. Be no more than 5,000 words in length.
3. Be prepared for blind review (i.e., no author-identifying information or notes in the body of the paper).
